Broadway and concert star Daniel Reichard will present his TWELTH New York City holiday show this year on December 10th and 11th at 8 PM. This year, he is thriled to venture downtown for his first holiday concert below 14th Street at Pangea, an East Village alt-cabaret supper club. An audience of 50 people will share in an evening of stories, songs, and holiday cheer for his most intimate concert yet!
Reichard’s holiday show has become an annual Yuletide tradition in New York City, playing numerous venues including Birdland Jazz Club, Feinstein’s/54 Below, the Alvin Ailey Theatre, Haswell Green's, and the ten-year-anniversary show at Lincoln Center’s Kaplan Penthouse.
Daniel Reichard’s Downtown Christmas will include a full band, led by arranger and musical director, Jesse Vargas. The program will consist of eclectic classics celebrating the Christmas season, Hanukkah, and New Year’s Eve, with selections popularized by artists such as Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Nat King Cole, Burl Ives, and Frank Sinatra.
Reichard’s theatre credits include Bob Gaudio in the Original Broadway Cast of Jersey Boys, Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration, Candide in the New York City Opera’s Candide, Keith Haring in the Public Theater’s Radiant Baby, and Emmett in the world premiere of Jim Henson’s Emmett Otter’s Jugband Christmas. A prolific concert singer, Reichard has played over thirty engagements in New York City’s top cabarets and clubs. He co-founded the vocal group, “The Midtown Men,” with his fellow Jersey Boys co-stars, and together they have recorded two albums, produced two specials for public television, and have played over 950 major concerts, including performances at the Kennedy Center, the Beacon Theater, and Symphony Hall with the Boston Pops.
