Broadway and concert star Daniel Reichard will return to his 52nd Street roots, where he originated the role of Bob Gaudio at the August Wilson Theatre in the Original Broadway Cast of JERSEY BOYS, with his eleventh New York City holiday show. Daniel Reichard’s Holiday Brunch will play Haswell Greens, a new live music venue and restaurant in the heart of midtown Manhattan, for one-performance-only on December 16th, 2018 at 1 PM, with doors opening at 11 AM.
Reichard’s holiday show has become an annual holiday tradition in New York City, playing numerous venues including Birdland Jazz Club, Feinstein’s/54 Below, the Alvin Ailey Theatre, and last year’s ten-year-anniversary show at Lincoln Center’s Kaplan Penthouse. Reichard states, “This year, I wanted to do something different from the previous editions of the show: a a brunch show! I want to see people laughing, drinking mimosas, and eating eggs, and I want to sing to them while they are. This will feel like a party, a feast, and a show all at once.”
Daniel Reichard’s Holiday Brunch will include a full band, led by arranger and musical director, Jesse Vargas. The program will consist of eclectic songs celebrating the Christmas season, Hanukkah, and New Year’s Eve, with selections popularized by artists such as Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Nat King Cole, Burl Ives, and Frank Sinatra. Special guest announcements are forthcoming.
Reichard’s theatre credits include Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration, Candide in the New York City Opera’s Candide, Keith Haring in the Public Theater’s Radiant Baby, and Emmett in the world premiere of Jim Henson’s Emmett Otter’s Jugband Christmas. A prolific concert singer, Reichard has played over thirty engagements in New York City’s top cabarets and clubs. He co-founded the vocal group, “The Midtown Men,” with his fellow Jersey Boys co-stars, and together they have recorded two albums, produced two specials for public television, and have played over 850 major concerts, including performances at the Kennedy Center, the Beacon Theater, and Symphony Hall with the Boston Pops.
Haswell Greens is located at 240 West 52nd St. between Broadway and 8th Avenue. Tickets are $80, and include selections of food, beverages, and gratuity. Doors open at 11 AM for brunch with no reserved seating. The performance will begin at 1 PM sharp.
